Our vision:
A well informed and inclusive society that shows solidarity with youth populations with depression and affective disorders, one which we will build through a shift on our education, society, and culture.
Every 40 seconds one person dies by suicide in the world. More than 800,000 people each year.
On average, 1 person dies by suicide every day in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, suicide is the third cause of death in youth populations betwen 15 and 19 years old.
For each person that dies by suicide, there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide
90% of people who die by suicide have a diagnosable and potentially treatable mental health condition
